I recently (2/3/2010) retired from Avaya/Lucent/Bell Labs (after almost 28 years) and am now just decompressing and enjoying life.
The following (in no particular order) are the current things occupying my time:
- iPhone / iPad development - I recently deployed my first iPhone / iPad app. Click here to go directly to iTunes and download it to your device
- Slot Machine Web Site - I am a collector of antique slot machines.
- Slot Machine Price Guide - A price guide which tracks public sales of antique slot machines and trade stimulators. Almost 8,000 machines are in the database.
- Coin Op Discussion Forum - A free public forum for collectors of coin operated devices to interact. This is the most active coin-op discussion forum on the Internet.
- AnthemForum.com - A free public forum for the residents of Anthem Ranch and Anthem Highlands (Colorado)
- US Weather via XML - A service which provides weather and forecast data in XML format. This is used as a back end for weather related applications.
- Stocks and Weather Today Pocket PC App - An application which runs on Pocket PC devices. It provides current weather and stock information on the Today screen.
- iPhone Apps - Current iPhone apps that I have deployed or am working on.
- Avaya AES Apps - AES applications that I am doing.
- Vacation Rental Referral Site - A site which helps connect people who are looking to rent a condo from a private party for a vacation rental
- Playing in no limit hold'em tournaments
- Drag racing my Corvette - Took first place in bracket drags at Bandimere National Speed Way at the NCCC (National Council of Corvette Clubs) national convention.
- Autocrossing my Corvette
- Flying my radio controlled airplane (wife won't let me renew my real pilots license).
- Skiing
- Producing DVDs on various stuff
- Producing YouTube videos on interesting Coin Op devices
- Playing with new and cool technology.
